• Develop novel algorithms for genetic analysis.
• Review incoming genetic data, verify quality of genetic data, and load data into our proprietary IT system for genetic analysis processing? Genotypic Data Storage and Analysis.
• Create clinical genetic analysis and genetic reporting software and oversee functioning of the software that enables the production of Genetically Tailored Reports of individuals for use by health care professionals - Reporting.
  Work with a team of developers for coding, testing, and integration of new software modules.
• Conduct and report on regular quality control and quality assurance tests of the entire clinical genetic analysis information technology system and the company's operational process, including dry genetic analysis laboratory quality control.
• Write and update standard operating procedures for genetic analysis and genetic reporting;
• Conduct literature and web-based research and stay up-to-date on the fields of bioinformatics, genetic association studies, and information technology systems.

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics
• Two years of experience as Medical Scientist
• Experience with: Medical Genetics, Bioinformatics Research, Illumina Bead Studio, CASAVA and UCSC Genome Browser Software, Bioinformatics Genetic Algorithm Development, Genetic Laboratory Protocols. Medical genetics is the specialty of medicine that involves the diagnosis and management of hereditary disorders which can be applied to personalized predictive medicine.
